Welcoming Visiting Pastor David Smith

We are looking forward to having Pastor David Smith of the Orlando Reformed Presbyterian Church with us on March 29th.  We will observe the Lord’s Supper on that Lord’s Day.  If you are not a member of our denomination or have not been admitted to the Lord’s Supper, and you would like to partake of this holy meal, we encourage you to speak with Pastor Frank Smith in order to set up an appointment with members of the Atlanta Commission.

Discipleship Seminar led by Ken G. Smith

North Atlanta Reformed Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce a seminar designed to assist believers to mature in their faith. Led by veteran minister Ken G. Smith, the seminar will be held on January 9th and 10th, 2009, in Cumming, Georgia.

According to Dr. Frank J. Smith, pastor of the congregation, the weekend conference will feature Bible basics. “Prayer and Christian living are topics which are foundational for everyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ. Ken Smith will be challenging not only new believers, but also longtime believers, to keep focusing on the One who has died and ever lives for us.”

Prior to his retirement, Pastor Ken G. Smith pastored churches in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Syracuse, New York. He has remained active in ministry, being engaged in seminar work at various churches around the country.

The seminar will be held at the Kiwanis Club, 417 Pilgrim Mill Road, Cumming, starting at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 9th, and will conclude at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 10th. The full schedule can be found here. Lunch on Saturday will be provided to the participants. The suggested donation for the seminar is $10 for individuals and $20 for families. RSVP at info@atlanta-rpc.org or 770-241-3946.

North Atlanta Reformed Presbyterian Church is a mission congregation of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, a Bible-believing denomination with a long heritage in Scotland and America. The mission church presently meets for worship at the Oakmont Clubhouse, 4680 Oakmont Bend Dr in Alpharetta (Forsyth County), at 10:00 AM on the Lord’s Day. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Psalm Sing on November 15

North Atlanta Reformed Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce a Psalm Sing that will be held on Saturday, November 15th, starting at 4:00 PM.  The event will be at the Oakmont Clubhouse, 4680 Oakmont Bend Drive, Alpharetta (Forsyth County).

The Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA), which is the parent denomination, has from its inception in the eighteenth century always engaged in the ancient and Biblical practice of singing the Psalms of Scripture.  This type of singing features rousing renditions of various Psalms, as well as more contemplative versions.  Singing from the Psalms allows the church to experience the full range of human emotions and to celebrate in song the fullness of Christian doctrine.

After the time of singing, there will be a reception for Pastor Frank J. Smith and his wife Penny, who have recently moved to the area so that he can pastor the congregation.  Dr. Smith has previously ministered in New York, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Also, a voluntary collection of non-perishable foods, toiletries, paper products, cleaning supplies, and food vouchers will be taken. All items collected will be distributed to those in our community who are in need.

Organizational Meeting

ALPHARETTA, Georgia – On Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 the North Atlanta Reformed Presbyterian Church was organized as a mission church of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA). The Atlanta Commission of the Great Lakes-Gulf Presbytery conducted the organizational meeting which was led by Pastor Ian Wise.

Please rejoice with us as we have now moved from a fellowship of like-minded believers into the status of a mission church within the RPCNA.

  • What Real Saints Do on the Lord’s Day

By now, the entire world, football fans and others, knows that the New Orleans Saints are the winners of the Super Bowl.

  • The Sacrament of Communion

The Church universal recognizes two sacraments, viz., baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  The Lord’s Supper also is known as communion (since it symbolizes the communion we enjoy with God and with one another) and as the Eucharist (from a Greek word, meaning “thanksgiving”, since we should be overwhelmed with gratitude and thanks for the Lord’s [...]

    Dear Sir:
Let me begin by thanking you for your courage and compassion in giving advice to Tiger Woods as to where forgiveness can be found.  We all need to be forgiven, and it is without question that the only place where we can find such pardon is at the foot of the cross of Jesus [...]
